How to take part

Your coach registers the team. Allow time to complete your profiles and pay the fees before the deadlines.

01 / REGISTER

Register your team

You need three eligible students and a coach from the same institution. The coach registers your team on ICPC Global for each chosen regional. Each contestant also needs to complete their profile.

02 / COMPLETE

Complete the payment

Follow the payment instructions on each regional’s website. Submit any required documents and payment proof, and check that your registration is complete.

03 / COMPETE

Take the preliminary

The common online preliminary is on 3 October 2026. Each regional selects its qualifying teams and publishes instructions for the onsite round.

Who can form a team?

A team consists of three eligible student contestants and one coach from the same institution. Students may be from any eligible academic branch. Check the official ICPC regional eligibility rules before registering.

Is there one preliminary contest for all four regionals?

Yes. The ICPC India Preliminary Online Round is the common qualifier for Kanpur, Amritapuri, Chennai and Mathura. Each regional independently selects eligible teams registered for that site.

Can we register for more than one regional?

A team may register for at most two regional sites. Complete the registration and preliminary fee payment separately for each chosen regional. Taking the common preliminary contest does not automatically register you at every site.

Is a regional the same as an onsite centre?

A regional is a separate contest site with its own registration and selection. An onsite centre is a venue within that regional. Kanpur has three announced centres; Amritapuri has four. Always follow your regional’s centre-allocation instructions.

What are the fees?

The announced preliminary fee is ₹1,500 per team for Indian teams, payable separately to each regional you register for. Selected teams may pay an additional onsite fee. Use the regional website for current payment instructions and confirmation.

Where will contest instructions and results appear?

Check your regional’s website and the messages sent to your coach for contest instructions, selection results and onsite confirmation.
